International Security Industry Expo Selected as Excellent Trade Exhibition for 4 Consecutive Years
‘New Trade Excellent Exhibition’ Upgraded to ‘Promising Exhibition’
The National Police Agency announced on the 23rd that the ‘International Public Safety Industry Expo,’ jointly hosted with Incheon City, Incheon Tourism Organization, and Messe E-Sang Co., Ltd., has been selected as an ‘Excellent Trade Exhibition’ for the fourth consecutive year.
The ‘Excellent Trade Exhibition’ selection project is a government-funded initiative promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to revitalize the exhibition industry and foster outstanding domestic exhibitions. Based on the exhibition’s history and scale, it is classified into four stages: ‘New Trade - Promising - Strategic - Global Top Exhibitions,’ with support provided for exhibition hosting costs accordingly.
The International Public Safety Industry Expo was selected as a ‘New Trade Excellent Exhibition’ from 2021 through last year, and this year it received a higher evaluation, advancing from ‘New Trade Excellent Exhibition’ to ‘Promising Exhibition.’
This is attributed to the participation of over 180 companies including Hyundai Motor Company and KT at the 5th International Public Safety Industry Expo held last year, attracting approximately 16,000 visitors, and for the first time in history, actual export contracts worth about 5 billion KRW were signed during the event period, which was considered a significant advantage.
The National Police Agency plans to strengthen communication with related companies to encourage more companies to participate in the 6th International Public Safety Industry Expo, which will be held for four days from October 23 to 26, and to greatly expand support programs for participating companies.
In particular, this year, the ‘Interpol Future Public Safety International Conference,’ attended by police chiefs from major countries, and the ‘Korea-ASEAN Cooperation Meeting,’ attended by police leadership from key ASEAN countries, are scheduled to be held simultaneously, significantly increasing opportunities for contact between domestic companies and overseas police leadership, such as through one-on-one export consultations.
