Yongin Samgye High School has been carrying out the 'Future Education Environment Improvement Project 3.0' with support from Yongin City and the Yongin Office of Education, which includes improvements to the library environment, the creation of an eco-friendly artificial turf sports field, and the establishment of student rest areas and waiting spots for school buses. The completion ceremony was attended by Mayor Lee, Kim Hee-jung, Superintendent of the Yongin Office of Education, students, parents, teachers of the school, and principals from local schools.
Earlier, after hearing the school's difficulties due to the suspension of corporate support last year which made school bus operations challenging, Yongin City urgently provided 39 million KRW in project funds and additionally supported 47 million KRW this year to increase the number of school buses by one.
Along with this, the city supported a budget of approximately 95 million KRW for improving the outdated library environment and purchasing equipment for electronic device-based learning, and invested about 72 million KRW for the creation of the eco-friendly artificial turf sports field. In 2022, the city also supported 51 million KRW for the improvement of the school's gymnasium environment.
