Ulsan Grand Park Rose Festival Opens from 22nd to 26th
Revamped with Various Cultural Experiences and Performances
The scent of three million roses will spread throughout Ulsan.
The city of Ulsan and SK Innovation announced that they will jointly host the '2024 Ulsan Grand Park Rose Festival' for five days from May 22 to 26 at the Rose Garden area of Ulsan Grand Park.
The Rose Festival, held at Ulsan Grand Park, which has become a popular urban oasis for citizens, is Ulsan's representative flower festival. Since its first event in 2006, it has attracted more than 4.62 million visitors through last year.

View original imageCelebrating its 16th year, the Rose Festival will welcome visitors with the theme 'Love Story in Ulsan' at the 56,174㎡ Rose Garden, featuring 3 million roses of 265 varieties and a wide array of attractions and activities.
This year, in line with its reputation as Korea's leading flower festival, a variety of cultural experience programs and performances are prepared for a grand celebration.
On the first day of the festival, May 22, the opening ceremony will be held on the main stage of the Rose Garden. The ceremony will include a lighting event, fireworks show, laser show, opening parade, lighting of the giant ABR (Artistic Big Rose) sculpture 'Magic Rose,' and performances by the Ulsan City Symphony Orchestra and singer Park Junghyun.
From May 23 to 26, the festival atmosphere will be heightened with Rose Valley Concerts featuring top Korean singers, Love Music Concerts as open stages for local artists, and various guerrilla performances including magic shows and diverse busking acts.
Additional events include exhibition and experience booths, food trucks, parades with the Rose Queen and rose mascot friends, a carousel at Roseland-SK Square, and a variety of hands-on activities at the Children's Rose Garden and Eco Travel Pavilion's Kids Theme Park, all held daily.
A range of services will also be provided to ensure the convenience and safety of festival visitors.
Picnic tables will be set up throughout the venue to help visitors cool off, and to address potential parking shortages for more than 100,000 visitors, nearby parking lots will be expanded and free shuttle buses will circulate from the southern entrance of the park.
Safety and convenience facilities such as an emergency fire support center, medical support center, lost child center, lost and found center, and foreigner support center will be installed throughout the venue to ensure visitors can enjoy the festival safely and comfortably.
