The Gyeongnam Esports Stadium will open on the 17th. It is a four-story building with a total floor area of 4,933㎡, located in the 100th Anniversary Hall of Gyeongsang National University in Jinju City. It consists of a main stadium (500 seats), a secondary stadium (76 seats), and auxiliary facilities. Various programs will be operated, including amateur esports tournaments, youth job experience, and citizen participation cultural events.
This is the result of the "Esports Permanent Stadium Construction Project" jointly promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency. A total of 3 billion KRW was invested to promote regional development and improve esports accessibility. Gyeongsangnam-do and Jinju City covered the remaining 5 billion KRW to complete the foundation. This is the fourth esports stadium established outside the metropolitan area, following Busan, Gwangju, and Daejeon.
