Jungnang-gu Adds 5 Automatic Eco-Friendly Insect Repellent Dispensers in Camping Forest and Parks
Jungnang Camping Forest, Mangu History and Culture Park, and 3 More Sites Added, Total of 10 Locations Operated
Effective in Preventing Vector-Borne Infectious Diseases
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has installed additional eco-friendly automatic insect repellent dispensers to support residents' comfortable and safe outdoor activities in preparation for the increase in pests during the summer season.
The additional installations are located in popular leisure and outdoor activity spots frequently visited by residents: 2 locations in Jungnang Camping Forest, 1 location in Mangwoo History and Culture Park, and 2 locations along the Jungnang Stream, totaling 5 sites.
Including the 5 dispensers installed last year at Jungnang Stream and park entrances, the district currently operates a total of 10 eco-friendly automatic insect repellent dispensers.
The automatic dispensers will operate until November, coinciding with the season when mosquito- and tick-borne infectious diseases occur. Each spray lasts up to 4 hours, preventing pests such as ticks from approaching and thereby helping to prevent infectious diseases like Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS) and malaria that can arise during outdoor activities.
By gripping the handle on the side of the dispenser, it sprays automatically for 10 seconds and should be used by spraying directly onto the clothes worn.
