Kakao Appoints Jeong Jong-wook, Former Samsung Life Legal Team Head, as Chair of CA Council Responsible Management Committee
Kakao has reportedly appointed Jeong Jong-wook, former head of the legal team at Samsung Life Insurance (Vice President), as the chairman of the CA Council Responsible Management Committee, the group's control tower.
On the 16th, Kakao announced through its quarterly report that lawyer Jeong Jong-wook of Kim & Chang Law Firm has been appointed as the chairman of the CA Council Responsible Management Committee. With Jeong's appointment, it is expected that Kakao Group's reform and responsible management stance will be further strengthened.
Chairman Jeong holds a bachelor's and master's degree in law from Seoul National University and graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law. He served as head of the legal team at Samsung Life Insurance and has been working as a lawyer at Kim & Chang since January last year.

The Responsible Management Committee, one of the five committees of the CA Council, is an organization that oversees regular audits, compliance, ethics, and legal issues of group companies. Since its establishment in February, it has been concurrently chaired by Kwon Dae-yeol, the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Committee Chairman.
