Blueprint for Developing a Sustainable Artwork Fabric Brand
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced that Professor Jeon Eunha from the Department of Fashion Design has been selected for the 'University R&D Seed Planning Project' supported by Busan Technopark.
The 'University R&D Seed Planning Project' is part of Busan City's initiative to promote regional R&D. Centered around universities, it aims to secure R&D planning resources focused on regional industry conditions and future new industry competitiveness through collaboration with industries, attract and expand regional R&D projects, and provide opportunities for local researchers to explore research topics.
Professor Jeon was selected for the project with her proposal, "Recycling Surplus Fabrics in Busan to Promote the Circular Economy in the Textile and Fashion Industry: Development of Digital Printing Art Fabric Products Embodying Local Cultural Symbols," supporting the advancement of the lifestyle textile sector.
Professor Jeon highlighted the necessity of circulating surplus fabrics that have been produced but remain unused in inventory. Her collaborative planning involving researchers, local artists, designers, and textile fashion companies was highly evaluated for contributing to the still ambiguous and unverified sustainable textile fashion circular ecosystem.

Professor Jeon Eunha stated, "I will present a blueprint for developing a sustainable artwork fabric brand utilizing surplus fabrics that reflects the identity of the city of Busan," and added, "I aim to shed new light on the value of local culture in the textile and fashion sector and promote sustainable manufacturing methods."
