Gominjeong: "'3Kim Yeosa' Special Investigation? Not Worth Responding"
"Create a Second Secretariat to Normalize Spouse Diplomacy"
Ko Min-jung, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed that the prosecution's investigation into allegations of preferential hiring involving former President Moon Jae-in's son-in-law is "an attempt to block a special investigation into First Lady Kim Keon-hee and a vengeful battle over the general election defeat."
On the 16th, Ko told MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' that "covering up one case with another is the prosecution's long-standing, wrong habit," adding, "The intention to escalate a political case to cover up a high-profile case like the special investigation into Chae Sang-byeong is obvious." Regarding Kim Min-jeon, the senior spokesperson of the People Power Party, who argued that a '3 Kim Ladies investigation' should be conducted, including First Lady Kim Keon-hee, Kim Jung-sook, and Kim Hye-kyung, Ko said, "It's too irresponsible to lump them all together just because they are first ladies," and evaluated it as "not worth responding to."

Regarding the conservative camp's allegations against Kim Jung-sook about the so-called exclusive use of the presidential aircraft, Ko dismissed them by saying, "They keep making such claims, but we do not believe them," and called them "claims that only serve as distractions."
About First Lady Kim Keon-hee, who has not appeared in public since the official visit to the Netherlands in December last year, Ko said, "How long are we supposed to keep hiding the first lady?" and added, "I hope the president will finally relent." Ko emphasized, "A second secretariat should be established to bring back the first lady," and stressed, "She should be able to properly fulfill her role as first lady, and the special investigation law on First Lady Kim should be passed to clear the suspicions."
