Guro-gu, Comprehensive Violence Prevention Training for All Employees
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is conducting integrated violence prevention training for over 1,400 employees from the 9th to the 24th.
To establish a healthy public service culture, the district has prepared prevention education covering the four major types of violence: sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence, as well as secondary damage, digital sex crimes, and stalking crimes.
This training, led by Kim Chun-ae, director of the Korea Service Education Institute, is well-structured with topics including △Understanding and importance of the four major types of violence △Meaning of the four major types of violence through case studies △Prevention and solutions along with emotional communication △Skills to prevent the four major types of violence that elevate the dignity of public officials.
The training is conducted for all employees, including public officials at the district office and community service centers, public workers, fixed-term workers, sanitation workers, and security guards. Additionally, customized training is provided separately for institution heads and senior officials, who have a significant impact on public service culture, to enable systematic responses according to situations.
Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, said, “Violence incidents have been occurring frequently in society recently,” and added, “We will do our best to spread a healthy public service culture in various ways along with this training.”

Besides group training, the district actively operates cyber education and sexual harassment and sexual violence counseling and reporting centers to make multifaceted efforts in violence prevention.
