Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends Hakdoam's Buddha's Birthday Celebration Ceremony
On the 15th at 11 a.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the Buddhist ceremony celebrating the 2568th Buddha's Birthday at Hakdoam in Nowon-gu.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok expressed his gratitude to Hakdoam of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, which has led sharing efforts for marginalized neighbors in celebration of Buddha's Birthday.
Hakdoam has supported donations and goods for low-income families in the Nowon-gu area for several years, and on this day, Ven. Hyunmu, the head monk of Hakdoam, additionally donated 1,000 kg of white rice to the district in commemoration of Buddha's Birthday.
