Gwangju Seo-gu Council Conducts Four Major Violence Prevention Training for Members and Staff
The Seo-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chairperson Go Gyeong-ae) held a training session on the prevention of the four major types of violence for Seo-gu council members and council secretariat staff on the 14th at the council's main chamber, inviting an external instructor.
So Seong-sook, appointed as the instructor (representative of So Seong Education Counseling Research Center), focused the training on fostering a sound value system regarding sexuality and creating a healthy workplace culture by providing education on the prevention of sexual harassment and sexual violence, as well as cases related to sexual violence prevention and victim protection.
Chairperson Go Gyeong-ae said through the training, "It was an opportunity to deeply reflect on the seriousness of violence's impact on individuals and society," and added, "Our council will conduct regular prevention education and continuously strive to establish an appropriate and prompt response system against violence."
