Changwon Special City Pledges Economic Cooperation with the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea
Discussion on Measures for Close Economic Exchange Between Changwon and European Companies
On the 14th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held a meeting in the reception room of Changwon City Hall with Philip van Hoof, Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), and four others to discuss cooperation plans for closer economic exchanges between Changwon and European companies.
Chairman Philip van Hoof decided to visit Changwon to expand ECCK's cooperative relationships, which have been concentrated in Seoul and the metropolitan area, to the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions. He introduced ECCK's major activities and explained the necessity of economic cooperation with Europe and ECCK's role in economic exchanges.

ECCK is a non-profit organization established in 2012 to support European companies' business in Korea, currently having about 390 companies and organizations as members.
They serve as a communication channel between European and Korean companies by providing information on the Korean business environment and economic trends to European companies, and by hosting seminars and networking events.
