"SpaceX, Unpaid Payments... 72 Liens Filed in Texas"
Elon Musk's space company SpaceX is facing growing complaints from subcontractors in Texas, USA, over unpaid bills.
On the 13th (local time), major foreign media reviewed real estate records in Texas, where SpaceX's rocket launch site is located, and found that since 2019, there have been at least 72 cases of lien filings against SpaceX's properties.
The 24 companies that filed liens are demanding a total of $2.5 million (approximately 3.4 billion KRW). These are subcontractors related to SpaceX's facilities or suppliers who have not received payment and are seeking compensation.
One of the companies that filed a lien, the excavation company Hydroze, was responsible for cleaning stormwater drains at SpaceX-related facilities. However, even months after completing the work, they have not received payment of $19,214 (approximately 25.28 million KRW), leading them to file a lien.
According to Texas state law, landowners can be held liable for unpaid amounts related to work performed on their property.
