Hwaseong-si Selected for 'Elderly Health Management Using AI Robots' Public Project
Providing Customized Health and Safety Management Services
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that it has been selected for the 'AI Robot Utilization Senior Health Management Contest Project' hosted by Gyeonggi Province.
This contest was conducted by Gyeonggi Province targeting public health centers within the province to improve the health levels of vulnerable seniors aged 65 and older living alone and to prevent solitary deaths. As a result of being selected, the city will receive support for the purchase of AI robots and part of the project operation costs.
The city will provide AI robots to seniors living alone who need improvement in managing chronic diseases and health behaviors, offering customized health management and 24-hour safety monitoring services for six months to help improve their health. The city plans to identify project participants using visiting nurses within this month and start the project from next month.

Shim Jeong-sik, head of Hwaseong City Western Public Health Center, said, "Through this project, we will provide 24-hour safety monitoring services to seniors living alone in the area, contributing to the protection of citizens' lives."
