Cheonan-si Provides Additional Support for LPG Conversion of Children's School Transport Vehicles
500 Million KRW Support for Purchasing New LPG Vehicles After Scrapping Diesel Cars
Cheonan City in Chungnam announced on the 13th that it will promote the '2nd Phase of Support Project for LPG Conversion of Children's School Vehicles.'
This project, aimed at protecting children's health and improving air quality by reducing fine dust, previously provided subsidies for 9 vehicles in the first phase. In the second phase, a total of 7 vehicles will be supported with 5 million KRW per vehicle.
The support targets owners or co-owners of children's school vehicles who purchase new small LPG vans (with 9 to 15 seats) for children's school transportation while scrapping diesel vehicles.
The application period is from the 20th to the 24th of this month, and after checking the announcement on the city hall website, applications can be submitted by visiting or mailing to the Climate and Air Quality Division of the city hall.
Vehicles that have received support for installing emission reduction devices on old diesel vehicles within the past 2 years or those registered as official vehicles for national or public facilities are excluded from support.
