Dongdaemun-gu Signs Agreement with 10 Organizations to Support Customized Care Services
New Agreements with Four Service Providers Including Long-term Care Institutions and General Restaurants
Achieving Zero Care Gaps through Public-Private Cooperation for Community Integrated Care
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 13th that it has signed new and renewed agreements with 10 private organizations and care SOS service providers to create a Dongdaemun-gu without blind spots in care.
Care SOS is a project that provides temporary home care, accompaniment support, residential convenience services, and more to individuals in urgent or short-term need of care. After the service is completed, the district supports long-term care and public care systems such as elderly customized care, as well as mid- to long-term care including case management and health support.
The district re-evaluated six service providers whose agreement periods were expiring and newly contracted with four organizations: long-term care institutions (▲All-in Senior Welfare Center ▲Care Home Welfare Center), a general restaurant (▲Yeoldu Gwangjuri), and an electrical construction company (▲Daehan Electric Co., Ltd.), expanding care services starting this month.
In particular, this year, reflecting the needs of users who wish to have porridge due to reasons such as old age and health, new porridge manufacturers were recruited.
Individuals in urgent or short-term need of care can apply by visiting or calling their local community service center. Even if they are not vulnerable groups such as basic livelihood security recipients or near-poverty class, households with an income below 100% of the median income (2.22 million KRW for a single-person household) are fully supported free of charge within the annual usage limit (up to 1.6 million KRW per person per year/within the service-specific fee limit).
