Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: "Rapid Supply of 3,000 Welfare Housing Units for the Elderly Within This Year"
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will supply 3,000 welfare housing units for the elderly this year.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a joint meeting with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and local governments on the 11th at a senior welfare housing in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, attended by resident seniors.

Considering that the population of seniors aged 60 and over has increased by an average of 4.6% annually over the past 13 years, the Ministry announced on the 12th that it plans to supply 3,000 welfare housing units for the elderly within the year, which is three times more than last year.
Additionally, the Ministry plans to expand the joint management system in welfare housing for the elderly to reduce the burden of common management fees and strengthen residential welfare services to improve the overall quality of life for elderly households, including health, leisure, and community aspects.
On the 11th, Minister Park Sang-woo of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport expressed his commitment to enhancing elderly housing welfare during a joint meeting with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and local governments held at the elderly welfare housing in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, stating, "In celebration of Family Month, the government will help provide a home for the elderly with the heart of a child to ease their housing burden."
