The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim In-chang) held a recruitment briefing session for students of the Department of Police Administration at Gwangju University on the 9th, providing an opportunity to explain the roles and duties of the Coast Guard through on-site tours and other activities.
According to the West Sea Coast Guard Agency on the 10th, more than 20 students and professors from the Department of Police Administration at Gwangju University listened to explanations about the main duties of the Coast Guard and the recruitment plans for maritime police officers. They then indirectly experienced maritime special situations and advanced investigative equipment at the simulation shooting range and digital evidence analysis room.

Following this, the students moved to the West Sea Agency's Special Forces and Mokpo Metropolitan VTS, where they toured the VTS maritime traffic control system and maritime counter-terrorism equipment, enhancing their understanding of the roles and duties of the Coast Guard.
One student said, "It was great to see the Coast Guard in person and experience the equipment, which I had only encountered through school classes and the news," adding, "I also learned that the Coast Guard operates in many fields such as VTS and the Special Forces."
