Anseong-si Supports Language and Certification Exam Fees for Unemployed Youth
Available up to 300,000 KRW
On the 13th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province began accepting applications for the 'Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project,' which provides support for language and qualification exam fees as well as course fees for unemployed youth.
The 'Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project' is designed to offer equal employment opportunities to young people and reduce the financial burden of job preparation by supporting unemployed youth with up to 300,000 KRW for language and qualification exam fees and course fees. This year, actual expenses for both exam fees and course fees are supported, and applicants can apply multiple times within the limit without restrictions on the number of exams, courses, or applications.
The support targets youth aged 19 to 39 (born between 1983 and 2004) who are registered residents of Anseong City as of the application date. Exam fees are supported if the applicant is unemployed at the time of the exam, and course fees are supported if the applicant remains unemployed from the start to the completion of the course. Short-term workers employed for less than one year are also considered unemployed.
The supported fields include 19 types of language exams such as TOEIC, 545 types of national technical qualifications, 248 types of nationally certified professional qualifications, and 96 types of nationally certified private qualifications. This year, 248 types of national professional qualifications have been added.
Among the national professional qualifications, only Class 1 special licenses for automobile driving licenses are supported. Course fees are supported only if the courses related to the supported exam fields are taken at academies registered with the education office under the Academy Act or at vocational competency development training facilities. For Class 1 special licenses, support is limited to courses taken at driving academies registered and designated by the city or provincial police agency.
