KOFIA Conducts Volunteer Activities in May, the Month of Family
The Korea Financial Investment Association announced on the 8th that it visited the ‘Jangaein Sarang Nanum-ui Jip’ located in Singil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to deliver donations and participate in lunch serving volunteer activities.
This volunteer activity was participated in by members of the association’s in-house club in celebration of Family Month in May. They served lunch to elderly people with mobility difficulties and handed out rice cakes prepared as snacks. In commemoration of Parents' Day, they also gave flowers to the elderly.
Kim Jin-eok, Head of External Policy at the Korea Financial Investment Association, said, “We hope to provide even a small help to the elderly in the local community,” adding, “The financial investment industry will continue to do its best to spread positive influence in the community through consistent fulfillment of social responsibilities.”

Meanwhile, the association continues monthly lunch serving volunteer activities at ‘Uri Mapo Welfare Center’ located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, together with employees from the in-house club. In June, they plan to visit the facility for people with severe disabilities, ‘Hansarang Maeul,’ to carry out volunteer activities.
