Shinsegae '2024 Jisikhyangyeon'... Humanities Lectures and Grand Tour
Shinsegae Group announced on the 6th that it will start a humanities lecture on the 10th of this month, select university humanities talents in July, and embark on a grand tour of the UK with the selected talents in August.
Shinsegae's 'Knowledge Festival' began in 2014 and is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. It is Shinsegae's humanities social contribution project that spreads knowledge and wisdom about humans and culture. Shinsegae, valuing 'people' as its most important asset, aims to nurture future leaders who will lead a new world and young talents equipped with humanities literacy. It has been continuously making efforts to share humanities knowledge and discover and disseminate related content.
A Shinsegae representative explained, "Over the past 10 years, through the Knowledge Festival, we have produced 238 university humanities talents and contributed to the revival of humanities in Korea by conducting grand tours in 10 countries with the selected students."
During the two-day humanities lecture held at Shinsegae Namsan from the 10th of this month, there will be a free communication session under the theme 'Leaders Born from Crisis, Futures Made by Leaders' to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Winston Churchill's birth. Additionally, from August 16th to 25th, a 10-day UK grand tour will be held for university humanities talents. To participate in the grand tour, applicants must apply for the humanities talent selection hosted by Shinsegae.
Humanities talents who complete the entire Knowledge Festival program will also be awarded scholarships for the fall semester.
Detailed schedules and information about talent selection for the 'Shinsegae Knowledge Festival' can be found on the official Knowledge Festival website and Facebook page.
