China's "Chang'e 6" Launch Success... Challenge to Collect Samples from the Moon's Far Side
On the 3rd, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the China National Space Administration, that China has declared the successful launch of the Chang'e 6 probe, which will attempt humanity's first sample collection from the far side of the Moon.
According to the report, Chang'e 6, carried by the Long March 5 Y8 rocket launched from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province at 5:27 PM, safely entered the Earth-Moon transfer orbit.

The goal of Chang'e 6 is to collect samples from the far side of the Moon for the first time in human history. Chang'e 6 is scheduled to land in the "South Pole-Aitken Basin" on the far side of the Moon, collect a total of 2 kg of samples including soil and rocks, and then return to Earth. If successful, it will be the first case in human history.
