Additionally, an MOU was signed with Taiwan’s KKDAY to strengthen promotion of the Gyeonggi tourism mobile platform linked to peak travel seasons and to develop various one-day tour products in Gyeonggi Province.
KKDAY, established in 2014, is Taiwan’s largest online travel platform company, developing and selling over 300,000 travel products across more than 90 countries and regions. It has over 9 million users monthly.
Jo Won-yong, president of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, stated, "Taiwan is the third largest source market for visitors to Korea. Due to its island geography, Taiwanese travelers frequently travel abroad, resulting in high demand for new tourism content. Therefore, it is a key market that leads the development of new high-value tourism products in the Chinese-speaking market and is a lucrative market that can attract both group and individual travelers."
