A Man in His 50s Falls to Death After Breaking Skylight While Climbing Roof for Demolition Estimate
A worker who was estimating the demolition of facilities on a roof fell and died after a skylight broke.
According to the Jinju Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 3rd, a man in his 50s, Mr. A, fell from the rooftop of an abandoned factory warehouse in Jisu-myeon, Jinju-si, at around 10:33 a.m. the previous day.
Mr. A stepped on the skylight roof while inspecting the site for the removal of solar power facilities, and the roof broke, causing him to fall about 8 meters down.
Mr. A, who fell, was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away at around 11:40 a.m. that day.

The police plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident and whether there was any negligence at work by questioning those involved at the site, while the Ministry of Employment and Labor will investigate possible violations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
