Lee Jun-seok: "President Yoon Should Give Up Veto Power on Special Prosecutor Act for Chae Sang-byeong"
Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform New Party, demanded on the 3rd that President Yoon Seok-yeol give up exercising his veto power over the 'Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act.'
At the Supreme Council meeting that morning, Lee said, "If former President Park Geun-hye had used her veto power to block the special prosecutor, there would have been no special prosecutor investigation team leader Yoon Seok-yeol, and the current President Yoon Seok-yeol would not have been born."
He added, "Whenever the name of Sergeant Chae Su-geun, who tragically died in the political arena, is mentioned, I feel deeply sorry for Sergeant Chae Sang-byeong's parents, who are struggling to overcome the grief of losing their son," and said, "The Presidential Office is not respecting the legislative branch and is talking about exercising veto power."
He emphasized, "The president, who is declaring a veto against investigations that could block the prosecution of his in-laws and influence the Presidential Office, is engaging in self-denial."

Lee requested, "If the president could even slightly understand the feelings of Sergeant Chae Sang-byeong's parents, who repeatedly see their son's name being used in political battles due to presidential stubbornness, please ensure that the three words 'veto power' do not prolong this situation and cause further pain to the parents."
