Boryeong City Holds Policy Meeting with Assemblyman Jang Dong-hyeok... Requests National Budget Support for Current Issues
Boryeong City in Chungnam announced on the 2nd that it held a policy meeting with National Assembly member Jang Dong-hyeok to discuss major municipal issues and secure government funding.
The meeting was organized to share city policies and to drive regional development and sustainable growth.
During the meeting, key issues such as the hydrogen mixed combustion power generation project plan, the creation of an artificial island as a marine hub, the construction of the Wonsando complex marina, and the island international biennale were discussed.
In addition, proposals were made regarding △designation of an energy opportunity development special zone △bioenergy green convergence cluster △establishment of an advanced safety system for EV core components △creation of a Korean-style Cancun △demolition of the abandoned Sora Apartment △Boryeong-Daejeon expressway △reflection of the 6th national and local road construction plan △attraction of public institutions △and revision of the local resource facility tax for thermal power plants.
Furthermore, a total of 102 projects for the next year were requested with 579.3 billion won in national funding.

Mayor Kim Dong-il stated, “As the government continues to promote strong expenditure restructuring under a sound fiscal policy, competition among local governments to secure budgets is expected to be fierce,” and added, “We ask for mutual cooperation and collaboration to establish a cooperative system for advancing various pending projects in Boryeong City and securing national funds.”
