This was his best personal performance this year, surpassing his tied 5th place at the Hog Classic Newport Beach in March, earning $35,000 (about 48 million KRW).
In the front nine, he threatened the leaders with ‘stepping stone birdies’ on holes 4 and 6 but faltered with a bogey on the 9th hole (par 4). On the back nine, after a birdie on the 12th hole and a bogey on the 14th hole (both par 4), he secured a valuable birdie on the final 18th hole (par 5) to improve his position. His bunker save rate was 100%, and his scrambling ability, recording par or better in crisis situations when missing the green, stood out at 66.67%.
