National Gwangju Science Museum Hosts 'Science Museum Children's World'
The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the ‘2024 Children's Day Special Event ? Science Museum Children's World,’ a program where the whole family can participate together, in celebration of the upcoming Children's Day.
This event will take place from May 4th to 6th and features a variety of performances, experiences, and events with 8 different programs prepared.
The performance programs include a Kids Magic Show using light and shadows (on the 4th), a classic fairy tale puppet show for the whole family to enjoy (on the 5th), and storytelling sessions communicating with children (on the 6th), among other diverse programs awaiting visitors.
The experience programs will be held in the Children's Science Museum. For children, there will be ▲caricature drawing (on the 4th), ▲face painting (on the 5th), and a special Children's Day education program where they can make and fly airplanes themselves (from the 4th to the 6th). Additionally, under the theme ‘Ttakji Warriors! Protect the Earth,’ there will be storytelling and traditional games such as ▲ttakji folding, ▲ttakji long-distance throwing, and ▲ttakji spinning top playing, offered as talent donation by the Saekdonghoe group (on the 6th). These programs will be held at the main building’s front piloti area.
As a special event, instant family photos will be taken three times daily on a first-come, first-served basis (from the 4th to the 6th), and a hands-on sharing market called the ▲Science Flea Market (on the 6th), where visitors can directly participate, will also be held.
