Cho Kyu-hong, Minister of Health and Welfare, stated on the 29th, "We will further strengthen the emergency medical system by dispatching additional medical personnel to prevent harm to patients caused by the sudden resignation or suspension of medical school professors."
Minister Cho said at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting on doctors' collective action held at the Government Complex Sejong that "the medical community's collective action has entered its 11th week."
He urged the medical community, saying, "The collective action of residents has exceeded two months and has already reached the end of April. I once again ask you to return to the patients as soon as possible."
