Running 600km with a Sleek Rear... Coupe-Type Polestar 4 Launching in June
Coupe-Style Electric SUV Polestar 4 Preparing for Domestic Launch
June Release, October Delivery Scheduled
Swedish electric vehicle brand Polestar is launching a coupe-style sports utility vehicle (SUV) model in South Korea.
Polestar announced on the 19th that it plans to release the Polestar 4 in June and deliver the vehicles to customers starting in October. This new model, following the Polestar 2, is the second vehicle introduced in the domestic market and features a coupe-style SUV design.
Built on the electric vehicle-exclusive 'SEA platform,' the Polestar 4 is positioned between the Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of size and price. It is a D-segment SUV coupe with dimensions of 4,839 mm in length, 2,139 mm in width, 1,544 mm in height, and a wheelbase (distance between front and rear axles) of 2,999 mm. Instead of a rear windshield, it boldly uses a camera system to provide rear visibility.
The Polestar 4 is the fastest production car developed by Polestar to date. With a maximum output of 400 kW (544 horsepower), it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds (based on the Long Range dual-motor version). It is equipped with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery and aims for a maximum range of 610 km (based on the Long Range single-motor version) according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) standard.
Along with its June launch, the vehicle will be displayed at four 'Polestar Spaces' nationwide. Exact specifications such as driving range per charge and battery details, as well as pricing, will be disclosed at the time of release.
