Kumho Tire Wins Red Dot Design Award
Kumho Tire announced on the 18th that its new winter tire for electric vehicles, the Wintercraft WP52 EV, won the main prize in the product category at the 2024 Red Dot Design Award in Germany. The award ceremony, considered one of the world's top three design awards along with Germany's iF and the United States' IDEA, recognized Kumho Tire's product, which is a newly launched tire specifically designed for electric vehicles based on existing winter tires. The company explained that it applied 3D block design technology to improve noise and wear resistance performance while enhancing braking power in winter. The tire features a design inspired by snowy landscapes and snowflake patterns on the sidewall, making it easy for consumers to identify it as a winter tire.
