Galaxy S24 5G Speed 15% Faster Than Previous Model

View original imageA survey revealed that the domestic 5th generation mobile communication (5G) speed of the Samsung Electronics Galaxy S24 series improved by about 15% compared to its predecessor.
According to Ookla, which operates the internet speed measurement site 'Speedtest,' the median 5G download speed of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in South Korea was 590.28 Mbps (megabits per second).
This is approximately 15.3% faster than the Galaxy S23 series released last year (511.82 Mbps) and about 24.1% faster compared to the Galaxy S22 series released in 2022 (475.42 Mbps). The median upload speed was 55.22 Mbps, about 24.4% faster than the previous model.
Among premium smartphones sold in the domestic market, the Apple iPhone 15 series had the fastest median 5G download speed at 598.64 Mbps.
However, in the 14 surveyed countries excluding South Korea, the median 5G download speed of the Galaxy S24 series was higher than that of the iPhone 15 series.

Ookla stated, "In South Korea, high 5G speeds can generally be expected regardless of the device," but also noted, "With a speed difference reaching 100 Mbps, Galaxy users currently using the Galaxy S22 model might consider upgrading to the S24."
