Song Misook Appointed as Artistic Director of Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation
Recipients of 'Jinju Geommu' and 'Anseong Hyangdangmu'
The Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation announced on the 11th that Ms. Song Misook has been appointed as the new artistic director of the arts troupe. Her term will last until March 2026.
She is a master who has inherited the National Intangible Cultural Property 'Jinju Geommu' and Gyeonggi-do Intangible Cultural Property 'Anseong Hyangtangmu.' She has served as a member of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee of the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Gyeongnam Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee. Currently, she is an honorary professor at Jinju National University of Education, chairman of the Korea Traditional Arts Association, senior vice chairman of the Korea Dance Association, and branch head of the Jinju Geommu Preservation Society for National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
