Mokpo City Holds Resolution Meeting to Establish Food Hygiene Environment in Preparation for Yangdae Festival

Mokpo City is accelerating efforts to create a hygienic food environment in preparation for the successful hosting of the two major sports events.
According to the city on the 9th, a resolution meeting to create a safe restaurant environment will be held on the 11th and 12th at the Mokpo Citizens' Culture and Sports Center for food service business owners and workers.
The event, hosted by the Mokpo branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association (Branch Chief Kang Seong-o), will be attended by about 200 people including owners and workers of exemplary restaurants in Mokpo.

Representatives of food service businesses, Kim Tae-hoon (CEO of Hanmir), Oh Seon-young (CEO of Yehyang Hanjeongsik), Cheon Il-hoon (CEO of Yaksan Black Goat), and Park Mi (CEO of Mi Bapsang), read a pledge for perfect guest reception, and attendees vow to strive to create the nation's best restaurant culture with bright smiles, warm greetings, and friendly hospitality.
They also plan to pledge to enhance Mokpo's status by providing a safe restaurant environment for tourists visiting Mokpo, and to make Mokpo a tourist city that visitors want to return to through appropriate food, pricing, and friendly guest reception.
Additionally, through training by JH Consulting Co., Ltd. aimed at improving food service for the two major sports events, emphasis will be placed on kindness and cleanliness, reaffirming commitment to the successful hosting of the events.

A Mokpo city official stated, “In preparation for the two major sports events, we are focusing on hygiene management inspections including intensive crackdowns on food poisoning, complaint reception, and unfair practices until the 28th of next month,” and added, “We ask for active participation and cooperation to create a safe food environment.”
