On the 8th, KLPGA held the first disciplinary committee meeting of 2024 and announced on the 9th that four amateur players who cheated during the preliminary round of the first associate member selection practical skills evaluation last month were severely punished. Among the three players who colluded to manipulate scores, one was banned from participating in all tournaments organized or hosted by the KLPGA for five years. The other two were suspended from participation for three years. Additionally, one player who played in the same group and tacitly allowed the misconduct was suspended from participation for two years.
The four players appeared before the committee to explain and clarify the circumstances of the incident.
