The competition, organized to increase the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients and expand the base of CPR practice, featured participating teams performing scenario-based performances in the form of short plays.
As a result of the judging, the student division’s top prize went to the ‘BBQ’ team, composed of students from Donga Meister High School, while the general division’s top prize was awarded to the ‘Soya Avengers’ team, made up of childcare teachers from Soya Daycare Center.
The two selected top teams will represent Daejeon at the nationwide competition hosted by the National Fire Agency in May.
Kang Dae-hoon, head of the Daejeon Fire Headquarters, stated, “Early CPR by witnesses is as important as the so-called four-minute miracle,” and added, “I hope this competition serves as an opportunity to raise awareness and importance of CPR.”
