Korea Rail Network Authority to Hire 150 'Experiential' Youth Interns
The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 8th that it will accept applications for experiential youth internships from the 15th to the 22nd of this month.
A total of 150 positions are available, and anyone aged 18 to 34 as of the announcement date can apply.
The Rail Network Authority will hire youth interns through document screening and interviews. Employment begins at the end of June, and the work period is six months. Youth interns who reapply for regular positions at the Rail Network Authority after their internship will receive additional points in the document and written exams.
In particular, youth interns selected as outstanding interns can be exempted from the document screening in the regular recruitment process. Starting this year, in accordance with government guidelines, the proportion of outstanding interns selected will be expanded from 10% to 20%.
Among the 125 new hires at the Rail Network Authority in 2022, 9, and among the 72 hires last year, 7 successfully secured regular positions after experiencing the youth internship program.

Meanwhile, the Rail Network Authority plans to lead efforts to alleviate youth unemployment by hiring about 260 new employees this year. In the first half of the year, 179 people will be selected, including 150 experiential youth interns, and in the second half, 81 people will be hired for regular positions and others.
