47.72 Million Visitors, 5.7% Decrease Compared to Previous Year
Last year, the number of customers at golf courses nationwide decreased by nearly 3 million compared to 2022.
The Korea Golf Course Management Association announced the status of golf courses and users nationwide in 2023 on the 8th. From January 1 to December 31 of last year, approximately 47.72 million visitors came to 522 golf courses across the country. This is a 5.7% decrease from about 50.58 million in 2022. It means a reduction of as many as 2.86 million people compared to the previous year.

The number of visitors to public golf courses, which surpassed membership courses, reached 32.21 million, indicating that two out of three people used public golf courses. Visitors to membership golf courses numbered about 15.5 million. The survey on golf course visitors did not include military golf courses operated by the Ministry of National Defense or golf courses within U.S. military bases.
