Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 8th that it will form and officially operate an 'Architectural Public Support Advisory Group' to improve the urban aesthetics and building standards.
The advisory group consists of 20 architectural experts and operates by matching a relevant expert 1:1 to provide opinions when a building owner applies for consultation during the planning of new construction or extension of a building.
The main advisory content includes architectural planning, design, and color during the conceptual stage of construction. For remodeling projects of aging buildings, advice on architectural structure and construction safety will also be provided.
The target sites include a total of four locations, including low-rise residential areas near Godeok Biz Valley. The district plans to promote expedited administration by shortening the processing period for building permits if the opinions are reflected.
