The West Sea Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim In-chang) announced on the afternoon of the 2nd that it conducted a basic disaster preparedness training in the waters near Bulmugido, Sinan County, together with related organizations such as the Jeonnam Provincial Office and private organizations.

This training was conducted to spread public awareness of maritime safety, establish a rapid response system for maritime accidents, and strengthen cooperation among related organizations. It involved a large-scale mobilization of vessels, drones, and personnel from 11 related organizations, including the Coast Guard Aviation Unit and the West Sea Marine Special Rescue Team.
The training, which simulated a fishing boat collision and capsizing scenario, enhanced effectiveness by conducting actual maneuvers through processes such as △ accident recognition and communication △ initial response including dispatch of patrol vessels △ search for drowning victims △ life-saving and emergency patient transport. Cooperation was strengthened through role division and maintaining communication systems with related organizations.
