Participation and Rights, Jobs, Housing, Welfare and Culture, Education, etc.
Incorporating Youth Policies in 5 Major Areas
Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it has published the "Youth Policy Guide," which compiles various support projects for young people into one volume, making it easy and convenient to find related information.
The guide includes Gwangyang City's youth policies by sector, central government policy information, an introduction to the Gwangyang Youth Dream Center, and a life welfare policy guide for Gwangyang City. It also provides detailed information on how to apply for each project and contact points to resolve young people's questions.
The main contents divide the youth policies promoted by the city into five major areas: participation and rights, jobs, housing, welfare and culture, and education. It contains 56 projects, including newly promoted policies such as the Youth Challenge Support Project and youth suit rental services.
Additionally, it provides information on the Gwangyang Youth Center (Gwangyang Youth Dream Center), a space exclusively for young people, covering its history and program operations to encourage utilization of the youth center. As an appendix, a QR code for the life welfare policy guide is included so that citizens can easily check welfare policies from the fetal stage to old age.
The city plans to distribute the guide not only to town and township offices and the Gwangyang Youth Dream Center but also to youth-related organizations closely connected to young people, so that it can be used for policy promotion and counseling targeting youth as well as individual young people.
Furthermore, to enhance accessibility and convenience, the guide has been posted on the websites of Gwangyang City Hall and the Gwangyang Youth Dream Center so that anyone in need can easily find the information.
A city official said, "We hope many young people will use the guide so that no one misses or is unaware of various support due to lack of information," adding, "Through this guide, we hope young people can more easily find youth policy projects that suit them and enjoy many benefits."
