Continuous Arrests of Accomplices Installing Cameras at Yangsan Early Voting Stations... Arrest Warrants Requested
Ahead of the 22nd National Assembly election, an accomplice who assisted a man in his 40s, a YouTuber who installed illegal cameras at early voting stations in the Yangsan area of Gyeongnam, was arrested by the police.
The Yangsan Police Station announced on the 2nd that they have urgently detained and are investigating Mr. A, a man in his 40s, and Mr. B, a man in his 50s, who conspired in the crime.
According to the police, Mr. B is suspected of conspiring to install illegal cameras at a total of six locations in Yangsan from the 26th to the 29th of last month, including four early voting stations for the general election, one early vote counting station, and one main voting station.
Earlier, the police arrested Mr. A on charges of installing illegal cameras at about 40 early voting stations for the general election across various regions including Yangsan, Incheon, Seoul, and Busan, and handed him over to the prosecution.
Mr. C, a man in his 70s who rode in a car with Mr. A and conspired in the crime, was also booked on the same charges.
