Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is accelerating the expansion of the ‘24-Hour Bosalkeumnulbom Support Centers’ that provide care services for children in urgent need of care.
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) announced on the 28th that the 9th to 12th branches of the ‘24-Hour Bosalkeumnulbom Support Centers’ will open simultaneously.
Starting from the 28th, opening ceremonies will be held at the 9th branch Myungji Gaon Kindergarten, 10th branch Dongnae Education Support Office, 11th branch Central Library, and 12th branch Haeundae Library U-dong Annex, and full-scale operations will begin.
These centers are available to preschoolers and elementary school students in grades 1 to 3 upon application by parents seeking urgent care. The 11th branch provides night emergency care services from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while the other three locations offer services from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Each center can accommodate about 15 children per day and operates on a reservation system through the Office of Education’s integrated reservation portal. The centers are directly operated by the Office of Education, and administrative support staff with childcare teacher and certified teacher qualifications from the Administrative Support Headquarters will rotate to care for the children.
Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “The Office of Education is making every effort to build a seamless Bosalkeumnulbom system that meets diverse care needs,” adding, “We will create a warm Bosalkeumnulbom ecosystem covering the entire Busan area to make Busan a great place to raise and educate children.”
