"“I'll Help You Die” 20s Arrested for Swinging a Weapon at a Friend"
A man in his 20s suspected of attacking a friend with a weapon and causing burns has been arrested by the police.
On the 26th, the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced that they are investigating a man identified as A (21) on charges of aggravated assault.
According to the police, A is accused of repeatedly attacking his high school classmate B's head and both shoulders with a weapon and causing burns to B's chest with a lighter at his home in Jangan-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, around 6 a.m. on the 24th.
During the police investigation, the victim B testified that when he said "I want to die," A responded, "I will kill you," and then committed the crime. However, A denies the charges, claiming he did not attack B.
The police have taken protective measures for B, including registering him in the 112 system.
