Gyeonggi Office of Education to Develop and Distribute 'AI Ethics Education Materials' in the Second Half of This Year
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will develop and distribute AI ethics education materials for elementary and secondary schools in the second half of the year.
On the 26th, the Office of Education announced plans to develop and distribute AI ethics education materials that include examples of subject-specific essay and descriptive evaluation questions designed to internalize AI ethical values and attitudes in response to rapid digital changes such as generative artificial intelligence.
In particular, these educational materials are significant because they support the curriculum, instruction, and assessment by analyzing the connection between the 2022 revised curriculum subject-specific achievement standards and AI ethics standards.
To this end, on the 23rd and 26th, the Office of Education held workshops with the AI ethics education material development research team and writers to discuss ▲ global trends and necessity of AI ethics education ▲ direction of AI ethics education in response to generative AI ▲ three major principles and ten core requirements of the national AI ethics standards ▲ and the development direction of subject-specific AI ethics education materials.
