Seongnam City, Child and Childcare Facility Officials 'Child Abuse Prevention Education'
Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct child abuse prevention training for 600 workers at local child and childcare facilities at 5 p.m. on the 28th in the Onnuri Hall of City Hall.
The participants for Seongnam City's mandatory child abuse prevention and reporting training include workers at local daycare centers, comprehensive childcare support centers, Dahamkke Dolbom Centers, school care centers, community child centers, and group living facilities.
Seongnam City invited Yoon Seok-hyun, director of the Gyeonggi Seongnam Child Protection Agency and an expert instructor in the field of child abuse, to give a lecture covering ▲children's rights ▲understanding child abuse ▲methods for childcare facility workers to prevent child abuse ▲how to detect and report child abuse ▲and procedures for protecting abused children.

A Seongnam City official stated, "This training was prepared to prevent child abuse in advance and enhance response capabilities in case of abuse incidents through education on understanding child abuse and how to respond to it," adding, "Seongnam City will continue to do its best to create a safe environment in child facilities."
