Ambassadors of Rwanda and Tanzania to Korea Attend
Import Delegation Dispatched from May 6 to 15
The Korea Importers Association announced on the afternoon of the 25th that it held the 'KOIMA Africa Import Delegation Pre-briefing Session.' Attendees included Bakuramusa Enkubito Manji, Ambassador of Rwanda to Korea, Togolani Addis Mabura, Ambassador of Tanzania to Korea, and representatives from over 30 importing companies.

The association plans to dispatch the KOIMA import delegation to Rwanda (Kigali) and Tanzania (Dar es Salaam) from May 6 to 15. This is part of efforts to expand exchange and cooperation with Africa and diversify supply sources to stabilize the global supply chain ahead of the Korea-Africa Summit to be held in Seoul this June.
Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association, stated, "The dispatch of this Africa delegation aims to address the issue of stabilizing the global supply chain that our country is facing by looking to resource-rich Africa." He added, "Starting with Rwanda and Tanzania, we will send import delegations to various parts of Africa to contribute to global supply chain stability through diversification of supply sources."
Ambassador Manji of Rwanda emphasized, "Rwanda is a country with diverse business opportunities not only in agricultural products but also in IT, MICE, eco-friendly industries, and the mineral sector." He highlighted, "In terms of agricultural products, Rwanda offers high quality and competitiveness across various items such as vegetables, tea, fruits, and nuts."

Ambassador Mabura of Tanzania said, "Tanzania is the most politically stable country on the African continent and has great potential based on its abundant resources and geographical advantages." He added, "We will spare no support to facilitate more active exchanges with many Korean companies."
