Gyeonggi Office of Education to Implement 16 Major Tasks Including Workload Reduction to Support School Educational Activities
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is promoting 16 major tasks to reduce the workload and support educational activities in schools.
First, the Office of Education will streamline unnecessary tasks and establish a framework for work efficiency to reduce the workload in schools.
Existing projects will be restructured or optimized by each department through the ‘Project Deliberation System,’ and new projects will undergo a ‘Pre-Check System for School Work Impact’ to allow schools to self-assess or conduct prior consultations on the impact of projects on school work before implementation.
Additionally, in collaboration with the regional education officers of the Office of Education, the ‘Comprehensive Education Project Guidance System’ will be promoted to ensure that local government education cooperation projects are timely incorporated and operated within the school curriculum.

View original imageThe Office of Education plans to develop a ‘School Work Self-Diagnosis Program’ that enables school members to independently diagnose, analyze, and improve their work methods, and will provide guidance on the ‘School Work Support Automation Program’ to help schools efficiently carry out their tasks.
To support work capabilities, the Office will develop practical guides for vice principals, department heads, and new teachers tailored to their roles and tasks, and establish a training system to strengthen school education support capabilities. Furthermore, an efficient education administration system based on official documents will be promoted to improve the quality of document production, provide training content related to official documents, and streamline K-EduFine task processing.
For improving the work environment, the Office will also pursue measures such as analyzing school tasks and collecting opinions on task assignments, exploring efficient operation methods for school work councils that mediate work conflicts, and ensuring the effective operation of dedicated school administrative work teams.
