Renamed as 'Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale' for the First Time in 24 Years... Opening on September 6
The Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale (KICB) will officially change its name to the Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale (GCB).
The Korea Ceramic Foundation announced on the 22nd that it has decided to remove the term "International" from the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale and rename it the "Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale" to intuitively reflect the meanings of ▲Gyeonggi (host and location) ▲Ceramics (theme and medium) ▲Biennale (format, biennial international art event).
Now in its 12th edition, the Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale began in 2001 and has established itself as a leading international event in the field of ceramic art, recognized worldwide with participation from over 1,000 artists from more than 70 countries each time.
This year’s event will be held for 45 days from September 6 to October 20, focusing on the regions of Icheon, Yeoju, and Gwangju, under the theme "TOGETHER_Montaigne’s Cat," emphasizing the meaning of collaboration.
