Gwangjin-gu Supports 90% of Work Environment Improvement Costs for Manufacturing in 5 Major Cities
Support for Small Manufacturers in 5 Major Cities... Apparel Sewing, Machinery Metal, Printing, etc.
90% of Actual Expenses Covered per Business... Installation of Fire Detectors, Ducts, Ventilators, Workbenches Allowed
Regular On-site Inspections and Consultations After Project... Expected Improvement in Safety and Productivity
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will support up to 90% of the costs for improving the working environment in five major urban manufacturing industries, including garment sewing and machinery metalworking.
90% of the actual expenses used for workplace improvements will be provided, up to around 5 million KRW per company. This project was launched to help improve the safety and productivity of small businesses with poor working conditions.
The support covers three areas: ▲hazard elimination ▲work environment improvement ▲work efficiency enhancement. Safety equipment installation such as fire extinguishers, fire detectors, and circuit breakers aims to prevent accidents, while ducts, dust collectors, ventilators, and air purifiers can be installed to create a comfortable space.
Additionally, the purchase of items that improve work efficiency, such as workbenches or conveyors, is supported. After the project, continuous maintenance will be assisted through fire prevention education, on-site inspections, and consultations.
The target is companies registered in Gwangjin-gu with fewer than 10 regular employees. Applicable industries include garment sewing, machinery metalworking, printing, jewelry, and handmade shoes. Priority support is given if the workplace is located in enclosed spaces such as semi-basements or if dust, illumination, noise, and electrical safety are below average standards.
Companies wishing to apply should submit their applications to the District Office's Regional Economy Division by April 16. The selection results will be announced in May after on-site investigations and internal reviews.
